Feasting with Our Friends and Family

We celebrated a wonderful feast together ! The children participated in many of the activities leading up to our feast, including baking in the classroom, creating decorations, and telling stories about what a feast would be.

When we bake in the classroom, we measure and stir and talk about each ingredient as it is added. The children smell the spices, learn about "wet" and "dry" ingredients, and the science of adding heat to create delicious food!

Because we were baking for the feast, we also learned how much fun it is to share something that we've made  with others!

We decorated our own cookbook covers with alphabet stamps and crayons.

We collected so many ideas about what a feast could be!

It was very cold out, but we were able to find some fall foliage plants to place on the tables.
We painted table toppers with seasonal colors!
We took a sneak peak to see our beautiful decorations.
AND rehearsed our song for the Grandfriends Celebration.

The FEAST was full and friendly.

It was crowded, but I know the children really enjoyed showing off their classroom to their special visitors.

THANK YOU for a wonderful, wonderful time of sharing with families and friends!

                                                                  Until Next Time,
                                                                       Michele
