Fall is Here, We Love It!

Fall explorations and inquiries are in full swing in the PreK 4 classroom. We cut open a pumpkin this week and learned that there are many parts to a pumpkin, including "skin" and "blossom end" and "seeds".  There was an opportunity to create a leaf rubbing/painting, and a lovely time out in the forest while leaves were falling.

We made salt dough shapes of the season, pumpkins, leaves, and acorns, and pressed dried beans into them and painted them. They will look wonderful when they are threaded with ribbon!

Our big story of the week was the visit to our school by the oil truck! We noticed something happening and were able to go outside and get the true story from the delivery people, including how they measure how much oil is in the tank!

Until Next Time,
Michele
