This week is about colors, wind power, science, weather, and bubbles. We made popcorn with hot air, ran around to let the wind pick up our rainbows, and used our own wind power to paint a "windy tree" picture. Rosalba made kites (papilote) with the children, and we added the Spanish words "viento" (wind) "nublado" (cloudy) "lluvia" (rainy) and "soleado" (sunny) to our list of vocabulary words.
We are making wind spinners by cutting out spirals, and enjoying bright spring colors in our artwork. We read books about the wind, and recited poems that had surprise endings. There are bottles that make "tornadoes" and "fountains" on our science table, and bubble stuff in the water table.
Until Next Time,
Michele
