Pizza Restaurant II

We continued our play with Pizza Restaurant themes, including making a wonderful snack with Rosalba of "canapes." Our trip to the Price Chopper was a busy successful one, and the children were engaged and active in making pizza, walking through the store with Hilary to explore the different components of the store, and looking for items that we had listed before our trip. We found everything!

Our art work included many pizza shaped paintings, and a giant "community" pizza which we will share in "collage slices" for each child.

a surprise and generous gifts

 ready for a tour!
listening ears

 start with the dough!

 then the sauce!
 add the cheese.....
While our pizza bakes, we tour the store, beginning with the bagel bakery.
Then the deli, to heft the cheese!

Then on to the bakery, to help decorate a cake. We will have cake for dessert today!

The produce prep room has watermelon for us-delicious!
We visit the seafood counter, and can touch a lobster if we really want to!

The dairy case, which has the kefir we were looking for!
We get to choose our favorite color flower at the florist.

"Dinosaur marching" to find the Special K.
 found!

And, finally, a train makes it's way back to the restaurant to eat our own pizzas, cake, and apple juice. Thank you, Price Chopper!!

a group of pizza makers working together....

better and better, an "everything" pizza!
Our special snack with Rosalba, "canapes" made with tortilla circles, sauce, cheese and vegetables of choice.
 Delicious!

Until Next Time,
Michele
