Autumn Colors

We have begun our study of fall and the colors and textures of fall. The children enjoy sorting "vegetables" from "fruits" and "farm animals". We have printed leaf shapes with brilliant fall colors, and glued a collage of leaf and tree colors onto blue paper. We sang a song about picking apples, and performed an impromptu "leaf dance" (we were the trees) to a leaf poem. As you will see from our photos, we spend a lot of time in small groups now, and we're working hard to negotiate the fine points of friendships and taking turns. We made hummous from chickpeas, and everyone tried at least a "no thank you" bite. Guest readers continue to be very popular! And thank you, guests, for lunch time help!
Until Next Time,
Michele
