We had many opportunities to explore and celebrate the colors of fall this week. We walked to gather leaves, read about Maple trees and their leaves, and recited poems about leaves falling down. Our art work had the colors of fall, and included a project of gluing and then fingerpainting leaves as well as rolling marbles in bright colors and shaking them over paper in a box. Our exploration included all of our senses-the sounding crunch of leaves in our fists, the sight and shape of leaves on the paper, the feel of leaves and paint, the smell of the carpet of leaves on the ground as we walked and shuffled over them. We talked about the season of fall, what is happening, and what comes next!
Until Next Time,
Michele
