The Colors of Winter

THANKYOU for our classroom gift of obstacle course items. We have already put them to good use, and will be able to take them out whenever we're inside due to inclement weather.

The PreK 4 classroom is a busy and colorful place at this time of year! The light table is glittery, the snowflakes get colored all different colors before they are cut out, and the paint and glitter abounds in our art work. We enjoyed "snow" songs this week, and explored jewels and sand in the sensory table. We have begun to share words of "peace" or "kindness" with the group. Some of the words we've heard include "Open your heart," "sing a song,", and "I heart everyone." This time of year is very exciting for all of us, and it's important to remember to breathe, enjoy quiet times, and of course celebrate wholeheartedly!

Here is our pinata story! We made a beautiful traditional pinata with the help of Rosalba. We filled it with treats, and then Rosalba taught us a song to sing while we hit the pinata with a decorated stick. There were so many treats, everyone got what they wanted! 

 We had a salsa dance party too!
