December Fun!

We are exploring the wonders of winter; the cold, the ice, and the snow, in our artwork and our songs. The children painted on glass, made gingerbread cookies with our 3 year old friends, and explored ice and glitter and paint in the sensory table. We read and acted out The Mitten  , a wonderful story of a baba, her grandson, and a white mitten that gets lost, then  filled with woodland animals until finally the little mouse causes the bear to sneeze and out they all pop!
Our most important work continues to be the work of getting along with others. We try to be kind and find peaceful solutions to conflicts in our classroom, and the children are powerful in their generosity and ability to comfort each other.

glitter is very important at this time of year

the playdough cookies look a lot like our gingerbread cookies! But I think there are more playdough cookies!

this year we have an authentic pinata being constructed thanks to Rosalba!
