What Do We Look Like Inside?

This week we continued to explore the shoe store and the different roles that are available. There were typically more "employees" than "consumers," although everyone found something to do. We also read about and talked about our bodies, and what is inside of us. We looked at bones and x-rays, the circulation system, and muscles, and read books about what happens inside of us (the magic school bus!).  We culminated our unit with a fingerpainted person that we could use to show what's inside of us. I heard words like "this is my brain, and this part leads to the heart", "this is all the blood," and "Michele, the kidneys are in the legs, right?" We tried to feel our heart beat after strenuous activity, and talked about how strong our hearts are. We had an interesting and busy week!
Until Next Time,
