Me, Myself and I, and a little bit of fall weather....

This week we talked about ourselves some more, and shared books about different characters, like Yoko, and Owen, and the incredible book eating boy who learned how to get along in the world! Our self portraits are hanging in the hall with our rainbows and the reasons that we are special. Dress up was a popular spot for parties and inviting firefighters and police in. We added journals and a writing table to our morning choices, and the children have begun to write and draw a bit independently. A favorite song this week was a "pirate song" about growing 1, 2, 3, up to 10, and it was requested frequently! We'll perform it for everyone some time:o). We wrote our first book, the color walk book, and finished our "me" books.
Another "first" this week was a candlelight lunch (for quiet conversations). It really sets the mood for kindness and mannerly eating to set a few l.e.d. candles on our tables. :o)
