This week was all about how we've grown. It turns out that we have! The children enjoyed singing a song about growing up, reading books about different characters that have "grown" in different ways, and drawing self portraits.
We have begun a writing project that gives each child a chance to write and illustrate their own book, which is then read to the group. The books thus far have been "non-fiction", and quite factual. We especially enjoy the chance to bind our own book and answer questions about our work.
We'll continue with our self-discovery work when we return from break, and will begun to talk about Spring and growing things.
