Growing Week this week was an active happy week of "working the soil" and planting seeds. We read the book A Fruit is a Suitcase for Seeds and made a fruit salad to enjoy. We looked closely at seeds and have put some in the window to sprout. Will kiwi seeds grow? We don't know yet! The children are recording through sketching each day what is happening with our seeds and plants on the garden table.
We had visitors to our classroom, also! A guest reader to share favorite stories, and baby chicks to listen to and look at.
We've completed our own stories and allowed for reader comments at the end of each reading. The books are on display in the classroom if you'd like to take a look.

It was fun to walk outside and look for signs of spring, as well as to choose a rock to paint with beautiful colors.
