We have constructed kites, paper chains (it might reach around the room) and spirals that will blow in the wind. Our stories have been about the wind, and we've shared a few silly poems and riddles about the wind. The children have learned that wind brings the weather, because when warm air rises cold air moves in and creates a wind current. There are bubbles in the water table to blow with our own wind power, and we had a snack cooked by hot air (popcorn!). On a recent rainy day we danced to a "windy" song with wind wands. What a colorful week!
Until Next Time,
Michele
