It's just a few days in, and the children have embraced their classroom life wholeheartedly. We are excited each day to make our new discoveries, making new friends and finding our places. The rainbow theme has given us a starting point, as we are making rainbow shapes, using rainbow colors, and reading books about rainbows! We have embraced our routine and the challenges that it provides, including making transitions from free choice time to clean up to group time activities. As each child has a responsibility, or "job," in the room, the transitions become more of an opportunity to be in charge of something than an interruption.

The block rug can be joyously busy! Somehow there are always enough tools. The children work together to create their spaces, and make it work.

AND we've been outside, climbing, swinging, cooking, and running.

Until Next Time,
Michele
