We've had an eventful few weeks of Bug exploration, then a little bit of Fish fun, and lots of writing and getting ready for our last day performance. The children have written an original story complete with many characters which we will perform for you on our last day of school. We're excited! As you know, we are getting outside now almost every morning. It's coolest then, and the children enjoy running and playing time to start their day.
Grammy brought in a beautiful bug collection which we kept on our science table for a whole week. The children had many questions for her!
"bug tracks" were made by moving the painted bug the way it would move-jumping? dragging? crawling?
We made symmetrical butterflies by painting the butterfly wing and folding it.
The children requested a writing table - and we complied. The table has been very busy every day, with children requesting time to write.
The shells had the sound of the sea-some more so than others.
"rehearsal" of our story- if you look closely there are some very silly faces in this bunch!
Until Next Time,
Michele
