Fall Fun

Our classroom was busy with fall sorting, building, and gluing.

We made a "Leaf Man" picture complete with googly eyes and frosty glitter, after reading the book Leaf Man by Lois Elhert.

The science table is a space for building forts!

The big blocks were the place to be this week. The children worked hard with each other to construct a structure that everyone fit into complete with a doorbell.

The block structure was a social and happy space completely constructed by the PreK 4's, with some advice about stability and height from the teachers. You can see the taped signs on the outside of the structure, and the tidy chairs that fit each child comfortably.

The next day, the children constructed another large structure that melded into a stage complete with microphones and singers. There were plenty of conductors!

We painted with red fingerpaint for a "fire" picture.

Ann offered a texture collage activity that absorbed the children's interest.

We cleaned up the "fire" with shaving cream.
Laura came to visit in our classroom-she was surprised by the talented puzzle builders!

Until Next Time,
Michele
