Bug Week

The children have been dictating and illustrating original stories with me this week. Their direction is to "write about something you know a lot about," and the topics have ranged from travel in airplanes to Disney princesses to baseball and soccer. We are looking forward to sharing our stories on project night!  

Bug week is a week of reading about insects, insect art projects, observing insects, and just generally having a buggy week. We even made dirt pudding complete with gummy worms!

We have an exciting addition to our outdoor play space-a "mud kitchen" which will be a space for digging, collecting, stirring, and sharing.
