This week our art activities looked a lot like science-mixing colors, spreading paint, observing changes of materials.
We printed our fingerpaint rainbows-the more mixing, the more brown happened!
Rainbow hands happened!

The room became quite playful as dress-up costumes and characters appeared. We learned to let others decide what they wanted to be, and that the answer to the question "can I play?" is "YES."
The sensory table was called "rainbow soup" and was popular for color mixing, pouring, negotiating, scooping, and measuring, as well as "cooking" as the children made "pie" or "rainbow cake" or whatever their imagination allowed!
We were outside for lots of large motor play, including this fun "color walk" when we explored the gardens and noticed colors.
We ran with rainbow streamers, making our own language of rainbows.
Until Next Time,
Michele
