Our pinata was completed this week, and we filled it and broke it together. The children were able to see the process from the balloon to the pinata to the filling and hanging of the pinata. Rosalba leads us in a song to break the pinata, and we feel very fortunate to have an authentic pinata party! We also explored more "winter" art, even though the weather was not at all wintry. The children particularly enjoyed Jan Brett stories of winter, including
The Mitten and
The Trouble with Trolls and
Annie and the Wild Animals.

ready and waiting for the pinata party to begin! We talk about making sure that each child gets ONE bag of popcorn, ONE box of raisins, a toy, and chocolates when the pinata is burst, and the children are so excited to share in the fun. My favorite moment was when a child came to me with their bag and said," Michele-I got 7 boxes of raisins!" We shared in the exciting news, and then we made sure that everyone got at least one box of raisins.

We know Rosalba loves the pinata! Everyone got a turn to sing and hit the pinata before she broke it up for us and then it was all fun!
We hope you have a relaxing and joyful and most especially peaceful break!
Until Next Time,
Agi, Michele, and Rosalba
