The Outside Colors Come Inside!

We are enjoying the changing seasonal colors, and our art projects and songs and games reflect our excitement!
We printed fall branches with the bottoms of bottles; the children could watch the process of paint mixing.

Tricky Tower building with our Parker Pals resting on top.
The tree blocks are a favorite, with North American animals, small trees, and Native American figurines in the mix. This picture looks like there was some negotiating going on!
Roller painting and printing fall leaves. The paint rollers were the best part.
 Pumpkin spice play dough!
Sorting fruits and vegetables by colors.
SINK OR FLOAT for fall with Erin. The children made predictions, tried their fall object in the water, and checked the box-did it sink or float?

Making apple crisp, a fall favorite!

 Palabras de la Semana

We continue to practice our words for friend (amigo) kindness (amibilidad) and me (yo); for the fall season Rosalba also plays with the color words and the words for leaf (hoja) and tree (arbol) with her projects. We are practicing our Buenos Dias song, too!

We had some practice with our "comforter" job this week, as the children are beginning to reach out in play to each other and able to recognize ways that they can help. This child is making all of these pies for a child who was missing their mom, in between getting tissues for them as well!

As the children continue to gain more independence in the classroom, I'll post our new discoveries and abilities!

Until Next Time,
Michele
