Autumn Happenings

We had a beautiful week of autumn weather, and we explored leaves and color changing, sang farm songs, and cooked a big pot of applesauce. The children are very interested in writing and we are reading their books at our circle times if they ask us to. We always say "bravo!" and clap for the author. We have written words about fall on our window, and had a long walk outside to look for signs of fall. At the end of the week, our buddies helped us to write a BIG book of fall.

The science table has leaves, gourds, and acorns as well as some sticks and seeds to look at, and the sensory table is filled with beans and fall colors.

A lot is happening for us in the fall!
Until Next Time,
Michele

my favorite part of the week is the sign that a child made to help me to remember to take the stones OUT of the bowl. It reads, to me, "check the bowl, take the stones out" !
