This week the PreK4 classroom was mail central as we had a writing center, mail trucks that were pretty cozy to hang out in, a few mailboxes, and lots of alphabet letters. The children wrote letters, delivered mail, sorted letters, and sang a song about "mailing myself to you!" The children's fine motor skills got a work out as they wrote with pencils, folded letters, fit letters into envelopes, unstuck stickers and stamped the mail, and fastened and unfastened the buckles that held the mail bags together.
We painted pictures of our houses and learned something about our addresses.
Altogether a great week of community!
Until Next Time,
Michele
