Bug Week!

Bug Week is all about discovering as many different types of bugs all in one week! We looked under rocks on the playground, read books about bugs, and became authorities about bugs. We pretended to be caterpillars becoming butterflies, and there were many stages that we needed to go through, including splitting the skin!We had all sorts of representations of insects and spiders available for the children, on the block table, with magnet blocks, sorting activities, and art work opportunities.

Bug houses were being constructed with magnet blocks.
A wonderful addition to our science table by a child "captured" by the idea of the life cycle.

This was a tricky puzzle!
 Palabras de la Semana:

oruga-caterpillar
arana-spider
bicho-bug

Rosalba's project this week was for fish week as well!
There was "dirt pudding" being made, with gummy bugs to add to the fun.

And of course we were outside in the beautiful weather!

Until next time,
Michele
