we know so many words in Spanish! Thank you,  Rosalba!

It was fun fun fun week in the 3 year old room as well, and we had fun there!

Fun fun fun week is a chance for us to remember past activities that we really loved during school and celebrate them once again. We ask the children the week before what activity they would like to try again, and they are very clear about what they want to do and how they remember it! We made pizza, made glitter jars, painted, made "sheep," and baked cake!  It was interesting to note that the children wanted to do hands on activities-no one asked for a book to be re-read, another teacher led activity,  or a song to be sung-it was all about hands on making!
Having a fun fun fun week also gives the children the opportunity to "own" their learning. They naturally assume that an activity that they loved will be loved by others as well, and it turns out that they are right! There was a lot of pride and ownership of the different activities.
Children are capable and creative even at this early stage in their learning.

Until Next Time,
Michele
