Apples Every Day

This week we looked at apples in every way every day. We sang songs about being apple harvesters and making apple sauce, created many beautiful works with finger paint and apple cutouts and tissue paper, and finished up with making delicious apple muffins. The children continued to explore play in the room with the big blocks and we enjoyed taking pictures of the different ways that they play. Some children need a LOT of blocks to create and spend most of the playtime building,  and some need a few and put together a big enough structure to fit inside and play. We started to talk about and read about farms, and food that comes from farms, and animals that live on farms.

We had some big happenings in our playground space, where trees and stones and mulch were added, thanks to the generosity of preschool parents along the way!

narrating my story
We had another writing workshop Wednesday, and the children were eager to sit down with book pages and markers and write their stories. Seeing the excitement and pride that comes from creating  and sharing your own story is something that we look forward to each week.
