Tree Week was a week for celebrating trees. We painted tree pictures, took a long walk to look at the spring trees, and dressed up like trees (a leaf crown, bark, and roots) to become a forest....which danced. We made a little tree for our classroom, and discovered that there are many animals that love trees, and need them for their food and for their homes.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

walking to look for signs of spring, and trees!

there's a bird's nest up there!

viewing time lapse photography of a dandelion turning to seed (or as one child called it "a wish flower")

water and tubes...how does water move in a tree?

our tree is getting populated with nests and creatures

dancing like a forest

we add the roots to our trees

it was a little tickly to get roots put into your shoes

somehow a lot of the trees fell down during the dance...we didn't expect that, but, well, it does happen!

enjoying the shade of the "tree".....
Until Next Time,
Michele
