Birds and more birds

Bird week! and we have seeds growing and sprouting in the window, bird nests to look at, and walks to take. the children created many birds and eggs with paint and paper, and constructed their own nests with eggs to fill it. Our snack was bird nests ("I can't believe I'm eating a nest!"). We had a visit from Kate, the science teacher, who has a pigeon that we could touch. (it was stuffed) The children were very very interested, and learned to coo like a pigeon. We made weavings with yarn to take home and hang for the birds to use in their nests. What a fun and interesting week!
Until next time,
Michele
