Fish in the Sea week is colorful and full of water and fun. The children glued, painted, stamped and printed fish. The water table was full of shells and sea creatures! We had many puzzles to conquer, including a tessellation puzzle that we created repeated patterns with. We read The Rainbow Fish, Fabulous Fishes, and other fishy books, sang Baby Beluga, and did the Fishy Pokey, which looks a lot like the Hokey Pokey, only with fins. Fishy Fun!
fun fun fun week is a week of fun! The children helped to plan the week, and we revisited favorites like whole body tracing, painting butterflies, birds, and eggs, water play, the little frogs, and planting seeds and riding bikes. Enthusiasm, joy, and smiles were all the rage! We spent time in the gardens, stepping stones, hiding in arbors, and running up and down that long hill. The teachers shared their favorites, too; tie dye, playdough, and stringing fruity o's. 
A week of trees! We made a crown of leaves, paper bag bark, and added roots of yarn to our shoes to "be" trees. The children enjoyed making branches of their arms, especially branches to hang swings from. The children learned about different types of trees and we were able to walk out to our tree fort to make bark rubbings.
Bug Week was a week of, well, bugs. We printed with plastic bugs, made bugs, talked about symmetry and butterflies, and learned that there are different parts to insects and arachnids. From what we hear, the best day of bug week was THURSDAY. It was sunny, AND we made dirt cups (chocolate pudding, crumbled cookies, and gummy worms). The best day. 
We had a week of learning about animals and their homes, and constructing our own structures! Our field trip was full of discoveries; geese, animal tracks, turtles, and growing plants, and animal homes. The classroom was full of sound, play, and making more friends! Until next time, Michele
