Legends, Fall, and a Field Trip!

We had a busy week in the pre-k classroom! We began to talk about legends and storytelling, and shared some candlelight and songs and stories. The children enjoyed watching the birds that came to our feeder, creating more pages for our cookbook, and building with their friendly blocks. We had a field trip to the fire station which was very eventful! and enjoyed gathering seeds for a sticky science board. AND we voted with the whole school!

Fall in the PreK Classroom

 Making Quesadillas...only cheese, please!

We had a week of fall fun in the PreK classroom, painting, making shakers, and taking a walk out in the cool fall woods. The sensory table has wood chips and jewels and other items to discover in it. We looked at seeds from the dead flowers of fall.
Our big story is our block play. The children are definitely connecting their structures each day, and working to live "together", even offering to make rooms for each other next door to their own structure. All sorts of items make their way into the structures, which makes clean up time very interesting!
